Exceptionally Good Training
I was one of those people who almost took an expensive seminar to learn how to do this business. How fortunate I am to have run across this excellent book on the subject instead. It was much larger than I expected it to be and packed full of just the kind of information I was hoping to find from how to get started, how to conduct appointment, how to set up and so forth. Not only does the author share her knowledge and experience generously, but she provides access to many additional resources she also provides to give you a well-rounded education to do the business with confidence. This book is filled with practical guidance and I will refer to it often, I'm sure.

Great Source!!
As an interior designer, I was looking to expand my business into the home staging arena, but wasn't really interested in spending thousands of dollars on one of those 3-day courses. After ordering and reading the reviews from the author's Home Staging for Profit: How to Start and Grow a Highly Profitable Home-Based Staging Business, I stumbled across this book and am very thankful that I found it. As a designer, it provided knowledge that I already was trained in, however I thought it was a good refresher, because it reminded me of things that I had forgotten. I thought the author did a great job again in providing an in-depth guide about interior redesign. I found this book as well as her other to be quite informative, easy to read and chalked full of great tips and examples. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in running their own interior redesign business.

This book explains the art and business of interior redesign in a completely understandable manner. Barbara Jennings left no stone unturned in this pratical guide. Her detailed advice enabled me to a become a more professional designer. I found the book enlightning and I saved money by purchasing this book, as opposed to attending an expensive time consuming seminar away from home.

India produces the finest dhurries in the world. They have a huge historical significance in India and the contemporary designs, colors are all inspired by the erstwhile Maharajas and kings who ruled India. The fabric ranges from silk, wool, cotton and fine yarn to a combination of all these. These lovely dhurries were woven all over the country, however, the dominant motifs were the large striped ones and the geometric designs with their staggered diamond patterns. The dhurrie could be used for a multitude of purposes. It could be used as a floor covering, bedding, rolled up bolster, a wall hanging, a worship accessory and for many more purposes. In India, the really coarse ones are even used to cover the animals. Fine dhurries with ornate designs were primarily woven in small rectangular sizes to be used on beds. The dhurries are cheaper than knotted piles and cooler under the feet. The weaving method used by the artisans is so simple that it seems to belie the richness of the finished product. There are just two beams, held in place by wooden or stone posts fixed into the ground. Across these beams the warp threads are stretched horizontally. On this simple and primitive loom are woven creations of rare delight. The only tool required is a fork or panja. The craftsman sits on a movable bench raised over the loom. This facilitates easy mobility especially when the width of the dhurrie is very large. While in earlier pieces colors such as black, maroon, yellow, indigo and blue were dominant, pastel shades have now become popular. Today, the dhurrie is equally at home in rustic villages, palaces, city salons and boardrooms. Transcending time and class, it is the quintessential democrat, gracing home of paupers, businesspersons and presidents. As one famous writer pointed out, Nothing could be more distinguished for the ball room, nothing simpler for a cottage.
